OBSTETRICS is the branch of medicine and surgery concerned with childbirth and midwifery.

It is centered on giving quality care to mothers from pregnancy to childbirth and the postpartum period.

It is recommended that one sees an obstetrician early, usually between 10 to 16 weeks and on a variety of medical conditions .

An Obstetrician can perform surgery, and manage labor and delivery.

Office practice consists of providing women with preventive examinations and other primary care and identifying gynecologic problems.
